HOMEOPATHIC HCG DIET

There are 3 phases to this diet. And a very strict protocol to follow. You MUST follow it every part of the diet exactly. Even the smallest changes can produce large gains in weight and set back additional weight loss for almost 3 days. Your body will be incredibly reactive to ANY variance away from the eating plan. HCG should be taking daily at least 30 + minutes to eating.

*Diabetics should continue eating healthy foods as many times a day as necessary to maintain blood sugar levels. Insulin may need to be adjusted.

1.     The Loading Phase:

This is everyone’s favorite part! The goal is to eat as many calories as possible to prepare the body for a period of very low calorie intake. This will build up their normal fat stores. These foods should be high in fat. By completely filling in all fat stores, the body is convinced that it is not in a starvation mode. This is like the bear preparing for long winter hibernation. This is also the time to eat your favorite foods for several days!! Many find that the first day is almost unbelievable, but find it difficult to continue to the end of the second day.

Recommend foods: Fried foods, hot dogs, chocolate, hamburgers, French fries, onion rings, Mexican food, fried chicken, potato chips, milk shakes, doughnuts, cookies, candy, pies, hot fudge, ice cream, butter, cheese, pizza, gravy, macaroni and cheese, rich sauces, etc.

2.     Rapid Weight Loss Phase:

During this phase, the restricted diet comes into play. It is CRITICAL that the plan diet be followed exactly during this phase. The diet must NOT exceed 500 calories per day. If you go over you will run the risk of not achieving the rapid weight loss and can set you back by as much as three days. If you didn’t build your fat stores during the loading phase you may feel very hungry during days 4-7, peaking at day 5. It will pass. The HCG drops are designed to suppress your appetite and you WILL feel full faster and not be starving. You are also allowed to eat small snacks (apple, orange, handful of strawberries, ˝ grapefruit, or a melba toast) in between meals instead of with the meals to help with hunger.  Make sure that you are drinking water (and / or tea or coffee) as directed. It does help and also flushes the toxins out of your system. The diet works to detoxify your body by helping you shed the abnormal fat.

Men can average losing a little over a pound per day, while women can lose ˝ to 1 pound per day. The weight loss is more dramatic in the beginning and tends to slow during the last week.

3.     Maintenance Phase:

Ok, almost done now! This phase is important to help to begin the permanent weight loss. The goal here is to reset your metabolism. After you have stopped using the drops, follow the reduced calorie diet for 3 more days. Gradually, after a few days, you can add more foods back into your diet except sugars and starches. After about 3 weeks, the bodyweight should become stable and not have dramatic swings upward after an occasional intake of excess calories. According to Dr. Simeon, “If no carbohydrates whatsoever are eaten, fats can be indulged in somewhat more liberally and even small quantities of alcohol, such as a glass of wine with meals, does no harm, but as soon as fats and starch are combined things are very liable to get out of hand. This has to be observed very carefully during the first 3 weeks after treatment has ended, otherwise disappointments are almost sure to occur.”

It’s very important to eat an adequate amount of protein and enough food. A good rule of thumb is to double your intake of protein and triple the amount of calories Instead of 2 servings of 3.5 oz; you would now have 2 servings of 7oz. with a daily target of 1,500 calories.

If your weight goes up 2 or more pounds, you must IMMEDIATELY have a STEAK DAY. Go to the butcher and get the biggest fattest, best marbled cut of meat they have to offer (you don’t have to watch the fat now). Take it home and sauté it in butter, oil, garlic or whatever seasonings you wish. Relish every bite of the steak until you are full. Follow with an apple or a tomato, if you prefer. Sounds good, right? If your weight goes down more than 2 pounds, you must have a double Philly Steak Day.

What Foods do I AVOID?

You can find the powder packets in the grocery stores and the flavored stevia liquids are available at most health foods stores.

READY??

Let’s Get Started!!!!

Day One:

• Take 10 Drops upon rising or 30+ minutes before your first meal – Hold drops for 5 minutes or as long as you can.

Do not brush teeth or put anything in mouth for thirty minutes after dropping the 10 drops under your tongue. You want the drops to absorb.

• Start drinking water. (1/2 of your body weight in ounces per day) 120lbs = 60 ounces water (Approximately 2 liters)

• Take 10 Drops 30+ minutes before your lunch & dinner (you also do not want to take the drops right after eating)

• Gorge yourself and eat as much food as you can throughout the day.  Refer to the Recommended Foods list if needed.

Day Two:

• Repeat Day One.

Day Three - up to Day 40:

• Weigh yourself immediately upon arising, after emptying the bladder, without clothes.

• Take 10 Drops upon rising or 30+ minutes before your first meal – Again, hold drops for 5 minutes or as long as you can.

Do not brush teeth or put anything in mouth for thirty minutes after dropping the 10 drops under your tongue. You want it to absorb well.

• Continue drinking water. (1/2 of your body weight in ounces per day) 120lbs = 60 ounces water (Approximately 2 liters)

• Take 10 Drops 30+ minutes before your lunch & dinner (you also do not want to take the drops right after eating).

Days 3 – to up to Day 40

Breakfast

(Optional) Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar with only one tablespoonful of milk is allowed in 24 hours. Stevia is the only sweetener that may be used.

  • An apple, orange, six strawberries or one-half grapefruit

Lunch

  • 100 grams (3oz) of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed.
  •  One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following:  spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
  • Additional vegetables not on the original protocol that are allowed;  broccoli, bean sprouts, cauliflower, mushrooms, string beans, summer squash, watercress, and zucchini.  Use of these may limit weight loss and should be used sparingly, if at all.
  • One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast or two Melba Rounds

Dinner

The same four choices as lunch (above)

Other key information

  • The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes.
  • Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter, mayo, or salad dressings.
  • Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water (Half of your body weight in ounces of plain water per day is recommended) are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times.
  • The fruit or the breadstick may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner, but not more than four items listed for lunch and dinner may be eaten at one meal.

Plateau Breakers

If your weight loss slows or stalls, don’t panic.  If you are cheating – stop cheating! Keep in mind that plateaus are not uncommon, and if you stick to the protocol they will pass soon.  Some stalls can be explained (i.e. old weight set points, time of month, ovulation, steroids, and sunburn), other plateaus cannot be explained, but all will pass, if you stick to the protocol.  Here are some ideas to make it though the slow times;

  • Increase water by 30 to 60 ounces per day.
  • Try adding a glass or two of green tea.
  • Eat only one apple per day, or cut down on the size of your apple.
  • Cut out Beef and / or Buffalo.
  • Consider that oranges, tomatoes and shrimp stall some people.  Try cutting these out and see if your rate of loss increases.  Check only one food at a time, eliminate one only for 3 days and see if that helps.
  • If mixing vegetables – stop.
  • If you are having trouble with constipation, try Smooth Move Tea.
  • Eliminate the breadsticks.
  • Check additives in chicken or other protein sources.
  • Consider if you are potentially at your ideal weight.  Are you also hungry and not feeling as good?   It may be time to stop losing.
  • For women, your cycle may be coming into play – review Dr. Simeons’ manuscript. You can find it online.
  • Have you changed or added any medications?  The change may cause a few days delay as your body adjusts.
  • Try an ‘apple’ day - eat 6 apples throughout the day with water.  No protein or vegetables on an apple day.
  • Add a brisk walk, yoga or a 15 minute activity to your day a few times per week – anything that raises the heart rate.  Activity increases your metabolism and may increase your rate of loss.
  • Make sure you are getting enough sleep.

Negative Calorie Foods* List is available if you need a change in foods, but foods on that list may cause you to not lose weight that day. Every person is different.

*Negative Calorie foods are foods that burn more calories to eat and process them than they are actually worth.
