Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) safely increases the oxygen uptake within the body by raising the barometric pressure within an enclosure. HBOT is based on physics which states that more gas can be dissolved in a liquid by increasing the pressure of the gas. In HBOT the liquid is the blood and plasma of the body and the gas is oxygen. So in essence we are putting more oxygen into the body for healing, restorative and regenerative powers.
Our body needs energy and 90% of our energy comes from oxygen and 10% comes from food and water. Our body consumes about 6 pounds of oxygen per day.
